Because of awareness of stakes going in along Crown Point Road and from the Town center up to Pierce’s Store, many residents have wondered exactly what GMP is planning and how pole placement will affect the visuals of many scenic parts of Shrewsbury. For this reason, they approached the Selectboard to ask for an informational session conducted by GMP to outline the current plans and the process involved in decision making. The hope is to understand how to both help GMP provide better access to lines as well as conserve important aesthetics.
I have been asked by the Shrewsbury Selectboard to set up a date for a GMP representative to conduct an informational session for them and interested residents. I thought I might reach out to you first as Right of Way Agent to either work with you directly, or if this is not the best route, to direct me to the person I should contact to set this up.
The result is that an information session has been arranged with GMP Designer of the project in Shrewsbury, Scott Buysse for July 17th at 7 pm at the Town Hall. The Selectboard have been notified and the Town Hall reserved. There will be an announcement in The TIMES in June to help satisfy open meeting laws.
Hope you all can make it!
