Rockingham-Clarendon NH SURF(49)

[Vermont Route 103 Paving Project]

 

 

 

DATE: Thursday, 4/25/19

 

PROJECT TYPE: Roadway Construction

 

LOCATION: The Rockingham-Clarendon roadway project begins at the US 5/VT 103 intersection in Rockingham and extends northerly for 42 miles to the VT 103/US 7 intersection in Clarendon. Chester class I (1.7 mi.) and Ludlow class I (1.6 mi.) roads are not part of this project.

 

TRAFFIC IMPACTS: Alternating one-way traffic patterns may occur at the location of active construction operations.

 

SPEED REDUCTION ZONE: A speed reduction zone (40 MPH) will be put in place throughout the length of the daily active construction zone. Speed limit reduction signs will be taken down at the end of each work day, and the speed reduction will not be in effect during non-work hours. Motorists should be aware that there are increased fines for speed violations within the construction zone.

 

SCOPE OF WORK: Work to be performed includes cold planing of areas with temporary pavement, surface preparation (including crack sealing, pothole repair and patching), new layer of asphalt paving in remaining areas, installation of rumble strips in designated areas, pavement markings, and other related highway items.

 

WORK SCHEDULED FOR THE WEEK OF 4/29/19:

 

Anticipated Weekly Work Schedule from Pike Industries. All work is subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen delays.

 

Monday 4-29-19:

·         Continuing Surface Preparation Milling in Mt Holly, VT.

·         Continuing Surface Preparation paving in Mt Holly, VT.

·         Temporary 40 MPH speed reduction package from Ludlow Fire station to the intersection of Belmont Road & Route 103 in Mt Holly. Package will be removed at shift end.

·         Flaggers and Uniformed Traffic Officers will assist with Traffic Control.

·         L&D Temporary painting in all Surface Preparation areas.

 

Tuesday 4-30-19:

·         Continuing Surface Preparation Milling in Mt Holly, VT.

·         Continuing Surface Preparation paving in Mt Holly, VT.

·         Temporary 40 MPH speed reduction package from Ludlow Fire station to the intersection of Belmont Road & Route 103 in Mt Holly. Package will be removed at shift end.

·         Flaggers and Uniformed Traffic Officers will assist with Traffic Control.

·         L&D Temporary painting in all Surface Preparation areas.

 

 

Wednesday 5-1-19:

·         Continuing Surface Preparation paving in Mt Holly, VT.

·         Temporary 40 MPH speed reduction package from Ludlow Fire station to the intersection of Belmont Road & Route 103 in Mt Holly. Package will be removed at shift end.

·         Flaggers and Uniformed Traffic Officers will assist with Traffic Control.

·         L&D Temporary painting in all Surface Preparation areas.

 

Thursday 5-2-19:

·         Driveway Preparation, Chester to Ludlow, VT.

·         Temporary 40 MPH speed reduction package from Route 10 in Chester to the Ludlow town line. Package will be removed at shift end.

·         Temporary 40 MPH speed reduction package from Ludlow Fire station to the intersection of Belmont Road & Route 103 in Mt Holly. Package will be removed at shift end.

·         Flaggers and Uniformed Traffic Officers will assist with Traffic Control.

 

 

Friday 5-3-19:

·         Driveway Preparation, Chester to Ludlow, VT.

·         Temporary 40 MPH speed reduction package from route 10 in Chester to the Ludlow town line. Package will be removed at shift end.

·         Temporary 40 MPH speed reduction package from Ludlow Fire station to the intersection of Belmont Road & Route 103 in Mt Holly. Package will be removed at shift end.

·         Flaggers and Uniformed Traffic Officers will assist with Traffic Control.
